Walter specialized in providing legal services on shipping, international trade and energy, traditional and new energy project development, investment and financing, funds and capital markets. Walter is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS). Walter is especially good at combining his rich industry and financial background to provide clients with comprehensive legal services on various complex cross-border projects and disputes.

- Provided full-cycle legal assistance for the import and distribution of natural gas for an energy enterprise;
- Provided legal opinions and services for a state-owned enterprise in a take-or-pay dispute over the LNG Terminal Use Contract；
- Represented Shandong Marine Energy in providing full-cycle legal services for its participation in the ship finance project of 9 LNG new buildings under Qatar Energy’s LNG fleet expansion program, with a target of up to 50 billion yuan；

- Assisted client in handling the cargo dispute of bulk coal, negotiated and recovered the loss of nearly 10M;
- Represented a state-owned company in handling a dispute over the release of goods without a bill, cooperated with a Panamanian lawyer to apply for an injunction to the local court and advance the local judicial process, recovering more than 12 million yuan in losses for the client；
- Represented a state-owned enterprise client in handling the seizure of a shipment of iron ore imported by them in Panama, assisting local lawyers in filing a motion for wrongful seizure, assisting the client in participating in the auction of the goods and successfully bidding for them, saving the client losses of over US$4 million;
- Provided legal opinions and services for the mergers of two state-owned companies;
- Provided full-service legal assistance for the capital reduction matters of a Singapore company.
